La Electrólisis Percutánea Intratisular (EPI®) es una técnica de fisioterapia invasiva que consiste en la aplicación ecoguiada de una corriente galvánica a través de una aguja de acupuntura que produce un proceso inflamatorio de carácter local permitiendo la fagocitosis y la reparación del tejido blando afectado (tendón, ligamento, músculo, etc.). La corriente eléctrica galvánica y el propio estímulo mecánico de la aguja constituyen agentes físicos propios del campo terapéutico de la fisioterapia.
Es una técnica creada por José Manuel Sánchez Ibáñez, fisioterapeuta y compañero de Francisco Minaya y Fermín Valera, fisioterapeutas de MVClinic.
